Oh my, this book delivers. I love Peter and Gina's chemistry!! Gina is such a wonderful character and I love her. She is funny and the way she views the world and spew crazy stuff is awesome. Peter is so closed off and every once in a while you'll see glimpses of another side that is beautiful and you want that side to take over!! When I read the last chapter, my heart broke and was overjoyed at the same time. Can't wait for the next installment!

Oh hell no. I’m getting tired of Pete and his shenanigans! Yeah I said it. It’s about time Gina smacked his ass across the face!
This poor girl is getting her heart ripped out and stomped on at every turn. I mean really. Why can’t she be crazy in love with Phillip, the sexy, down to earth, ready to settle down with the right girl, type of guy. I love Pete but damn he is such a man whore! I don’t know what is what with him. I get the bad boy image of who he pretends to be but there is a fine line between pretending to be the bad boy and actually being the bad boy.
I’m babbling - this book has my emotions all over the place. But right now I am mad as hell at Pete.
I need to read another Ferro book to keep my mind off this until I get my hands on vol. 9
I absolutely loved LIFE BEFORE DAMAGED 8. So many swoon-worthy moments. So much foreshadowing!! And no apprehension, this series is about living life to its fullest. As much as I love Peter, I am in absolute book heaven with Gina’s story. Gina is no wallflower. She is a fighter in terms of living her life on her terms and no one else’s, despite being pushed and pulled in certain directions. We are slowly seeing the Peter we knew from Damaged emerging and it’s a wonderful story being told. There is a such a vulnerability to Pete that we didn’t get to see in the earlier volumes but we are seeing it in LBD 8 and I absolutely cannot gush enough about it. Pete just can’t see the real him and I love how Gina can cut through all the Ferro fog that seems to surround this family and see the real him. Seriously, if you have read Damaged 1 and 2, LIFE BEFORE DAMAGED series is a MUST. It may be hands down my favorite amongst the Ferro Family series. It has everything you could want in a true love story.
I love reading about Pete's life with Gina, it gives us insight to what Peter went through and why he chose to change his name and his life. I want to knock some sense into him, can't he see that Gina is in love with him? Why does he keep messing with her heart, one minute he acts as if he cares and then he does something to hurt her. I just wish he would make up his mind. I hope that her family comes around and forgives her, she didn't mean to get them into this predicament, but she is paying dearly for her mistake. Sometimes it's hard to give a review without telling the story. I laughed with Gina and I was sad for her at the same time. I received an ARC for my honest review. H.M. Ward has delivered an awesome book yet again.
Holy smokes!!!!! The heat and sexual tension is intense between Peter and Gina!!!!! I am so ready for them to both admit that they have feelings for each other!!!!! I feel like we are running against the clock. The time is quickly ticking by and we are getting closer and closer to the impending demise of Gina!!!! Which makes me really sad. ( I want these two to have a happily every after so bad!!!!!! However short lived it is. Those who have read Damaged 1 & 2 know that Gina had a profound effect on Peter's life. I'm so ready for the two of them to take the next step in their relationship and get to business already!!!!! I have never in all my life had a book series that I have been so enthralled with. HM Ward is an amazingly author and everything she touches turns to gold. She may just be the true Midas of authors. To those readers that have not read any of her books, you are missing out. They are addicting to say the least.
Gina is starting to let her guard down and is telling Pete what he needs to hear "It's time for you to make some changes. You spend all your time screwing women, getting into nasty fights, and spending your money on crap. That's not living. . .There’s something else that’s more powerful laying beneath the surface and you hardly ever tap into it. That man is amazing.”

The final scene (dramatically) leaves the ball in Pete's court. Gina is aware she loves Pete, will Pete stop the game playing and admit he loves Gina?

WOW!!!! I couldn't put this book down!! This is my favorite story line from H.M. Ward!! This author is getting better and better as a writer, and her stories are harder to put down! I feel like I am living right beside these characters. Holly makes it so easy to fall in love with these characters, but not only that, readers can relate to them on a personal level. I literally stay on the edge of my seat. This particular book laughing out loud, wanting more, and not wanting it to end. This Peter the poet, bad boy is HOT!! Congrats, Holly on another awesome well written book! I am looking forward to your next books!! (As usual!!)
It begins with a new Gina taking life by the horns and then leads to one of her biggest tests yet! Gina and Pete go through much more emotional trials in this installment. There's Gina's hilarious humor and Pete's laughter throughout. Your heart strings will be pulled and you only find yourself feeling every moment of Gina's joy and pain... Pete makes you want to shake him but you can not help but just fall more and more in love with him. You finally see the connections falling into place to paint a full picture of their story. What an installment! Woosaa take a breath and prepare for the next installment! Thank you HM Ward as always you captured everything so beautifully!
